Radian Systems was proud to return to Space Tech Expo Europe in Bremen, Germany, an event that holds a unique place in our company’s history. Six years after co-founders David Criado and Laura González Llamazares attended their first international space event here—right after Radian was created—they both returned leading a company that now contributes to the success of more than 70 launched satellites for clients worldwide.

The whole European space industry converges yearly at this venue, and Space Tech Expo is distinct because it is not merely a commercial fair; it is a highly technical gathering. This is one of the few large-scale events where engineers, CTOs, and even some thermal engineers—Radian’s core audience—attend for free registration, ensuring the quality of networking is exceptionally high. This year’s expo was the largest yet, gathering over 950 exhibiting companies and attracting more than 10,000 participants across the five exhibition halls.

Radian, represented by our CEO, signed the Zero Debris Charter at the Catalonia booth, an initiative promoted by ESA and the Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia, reinforcing our commitment to space sustainability. “Radian Systems wholeheartedly supports the Zero Debris Charter’s ambitious goals for 2030. We contribute by providing agile, cloud-based tools that empower satellite designers to rapidly incorporate debris mitigation and thermal safety from the earliest design stages. This commitment to efficiency ensures all future missions align with the necessary standards for a safe and sustainable space environment.”

Beyond the main expo floor, both David and Laura had the opportunity to visit the DLR facilities, specifically the Concurrent Design Facility (CDF), to explore the possibility of integrating Radian into the facility’s agile design workflow. This technical engagement underscores our focus on making our cutting-edge thermal analysis software an integral part of the next generation of space design.
