Radian Systems was proud to participate in the Space Symposium and the preceding Space Generation Fusion Forum (SGFF) in Colorado Springs. This exceptional opportunity was made possible by a scholarship provided by the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC), a recognition of the longstanding contributions of our Co-founder and Chief Commercial Officer, Laura González Llamazares.
Held at The Broadmoor hotel, the Space Symposium is one of the premier space events worldwide, renowned for gathering CEOs and heads of agencies. This provided Radian with a very interesting insight into high-level space strategies and the intricate workings of the US space market—a crucial and highly important target market for the company. The Space Symposium also had a special natural event: the partial solar eclipse. Eclipse glasses were provided, and attendees stepped outside the venue to contemplate this fantastic celestial occurrence, providing a moment of shared awe amid the high-level discussions.
Laura has been a dedicated volunteer for SGAC for several years, as National Point of Contact of SGAC in Spain and leading the Global Satellite Tracking initiative. Her commitment to fostering the next generation of space leaders was formally recognized when she received the prestigious Pioneer Award in 2022. This background and dedication culminated in the award of the SGAC scholarship, enabling her attendance at this premium global event. https://spacegeneration.org/pioneer-award-laura-gonzalez-llamarez
During SGAC’s event, the SG Fusion Forum, Laura had the opportunity to meet inspiring young professionals from all over the world, engage with space leaders, and directors of some of the top space agencies and contribute actively to a working group, brainstorming about cislunar infrastructure and writing recommendations for the United Nations towards a ‘United Moon’ architecture.
